DESCRIPTION:The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is a life-changing event that brings many people to:\n\n\n	Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer.\n	Inspire others to continue to fight.\n	Remember loved ones lost to this disease.\n	Put an end to the disease by fighting back.\n\nTeams of people camp out at the River Falls High School and take turns walking or running around the track. Each team is asked to set a fundraising goal and have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event.\n\n\n\nThere are certain traditions at all Relays\, which help participants celebrate\, remember\, and fight back. To celebrate\, The Survivors Lap the survivors are invited to circle the track together and help everyone celebrate the victories achieved over cancer. To remember\, The Luminaria Ceremony is held after dark and candles are lit inside bags filled with sand. Each bag holds the name of a person touched by cancer\, and participants walk a lap in silence. To fight back\, the Fight Back Ceremony makes a personal commitment to save lives by taking up the fight against cancer.
