DESCRIPTION:Soup\, Salad\, and Science\n\nThe River Falls Public Library\, along with River Falls Community Education\, is excited to offer a public lecture series designed to focus on various science topics. The Soup\, Salad and Science lectures includes six different lectures that will take on Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30 pm\, beginning September 14\, at the River Falls Public Library. Presenter Shawn Stevens will talk about the mistakes food companies are making which are causing foodborne illness outbreaks\, and the advanced tools that public health investigators are now using to solve them.\n\n \n\nThe Mars trip\, what you should know before you book\n\nNov 15\, 2018\n\n5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.\n\nLearn about the science behind the great difficulties and dangers of sending humans on a journey to the planet Mars. Dr. John Shepherd will tell us why this is way more costly and dangerous than going to the Moon.
