Description
The 2012 Great Prairie Pentathlon presented by Pizza Hut will take place on Saturday, May 19 in River Falls, WI. The Olympic Sport of Pentathlon consists of 5 individual sport disciplines competed in one day and in this order: Fencing, Swimming, Equestrian Show Jumping, Running/Shooting.
River Falls High School will be the host the Fencing and Swimming events.
UWRF will host the Jumping and Combined events of Running/Shooting.
The five elements of Pentathlon reflect the five interlocking rings of the Olympic Emblem. In fact, the Pentathlon Gold Medalist is considered the best athlete of the Olympic Games.
Come on out to observe the best athletes from around the USA and Canada. In 2011, we had participants from 7 different states and 2 different countries compete. While participation costs will vary, there is no admission costs for spectators!!
