Description
Celebrate Earth Week! It’s a "Parade of Homes" theme, Around the preserve: what make for a luxury home for our local fauna? Take a walk around the preserve and learn about homes for Coyotes, Black Bears, Bird and more. In the Visitor Center: 2p.m. Green Architecture/LEED- Planning for and building a sustainable home. 2:30p.m. - Indoor Environment Analysis-Curing ’sick home’ syndrome. 3p.m. - Green Landscape Design: Using native plants, rain gardens, ect to make your home’s outdoor spaces ’green’. With your hands: Plant-a-Tree and Take-a-Tree, slingshot prairie, Woodcraft Art. Participate in fun outdoor learning activities for the whole family!
